In order to fulfil the various organizational requirements, De Oude Weg Neighbourhood watch needs to become a registered non profit organization.

Having a legal entity enables us to apply for the following:

  • ICASA licence exemption.

  • Cape Town CCTV registration.

  • Potential sponsorship investment from the City of Cape Town, and other governmental departments.

The downside to becoming a legal entity is that we require a certified audit each year to be submitted to the registrar.

I have listed the main registration requirements in order as sub-pages within the Legal Requirements page on the left.
