# Internet in DOW

## Fibre

There is currently no Fibre availability in DOW.

Surrounding area's are being gradually provisioned by either Link Africa (i.e. Kommetjie) , or Frogfoot (Capri and Sunnydale).

I tentatively expect Fibre to become available within 1-2 years given the surrounding infrastructure installations in progress.\

## LTE

**Rain** - Completely unusable due to speed issues, ok for limited use for those on a budget.\
**Telkom LTE** - usable, but expensive.\
**Other 4G** - (Cell C, MTN etc) intermittent at times, but works.<br>

## Fixed Wifi

**Wibernet** - My preferred choice - reasonable costs, and uncapped / unthrottled packages, with routable ip's.\

R599 / month for 10M down / 5M up.\
\
Blue Dog - More expensive than Wibernet, others in the area happy with their service.\

R699/ month for 10M down / 5M up / 600G transfer.\
R1150 / month for an equivalent package to Wibernet R599 package.
