A distributed CCTV network will require us to use wifi (wireless networking) in order to connect up the camera's.

Within South Africa, all use of radio frequencies for transmission is governed by an organization called ICASA.

ICASA rules require that all wireless installations that cross public roads or exceed certain transmission requirements procure a suitable licence or apply for an exemption.

As we intend that the De Oude Weg Neighbourhood Watch becomes a legally registered non-profit, we can register for an exemption license using ICASA's Form M.

Form M -

One caveat; we cannot proceed with this application until we have a Section 21 Non Profit registered.
